Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash makes videos up to 15 seconds; Google cuts the 720p price by 30% to $0.07 per second
Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash makes clips of 3 to 15 seconds. The 720p price is $0.07 per second, 30% below Omni 1.1; other resolutions are not priced.
On November 5, 2026, Google released Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash, its video generation model, saying it is generally available on the Gemini API and Google Cloud. Clips now run 3 to 15 seconds, up from 10, and the 720p price is $0.07 per second, which Google presents as a 30% cut from Omni 1.1. We read Google's announcement page directly; independent tests were not found.
The essentials
- The 30% applies to 720p: $0.07 per second. Google's page gives no price for 360p, 1080p or 4K; it says users can draft at 360p or 720p and upscale to 1080p or 4K.
- Length: clips of 3 to 15 seconds in one-second steps, up from a 10-second maximum in Omni 1.1.
- Editing and inputs: multi-turn conversational edits (swap a product or background, change lighting or weather, switch aspect ratio) without regenerating the whole clip; reference images, motion clips up to three seconds and audio cues.
- Availability: Gemini API and Google Cloud (generally available), Google Vids at no extra cost, and 15-second videos rolling out in the Gemini app to Google AI Ultra subscribers.
What does 30% cheaper mean in practice?
The cut is on the per-second 720p price. Google's page does not state the Omni 1.1 price, but third-party coverage lists it at $0.10 per second, which matches a 30% cut to $0.07. At that rate a 15-second 720p clip costs about $1.05 and a 3-second one about $0.21. Because clips can now be longer, a maximum-length clip costs more in total than a 10-second one did, even though each second is cheaper. We could not confirm prices for other resolutions.
What else changed?
Google lists better consistency across frames, fewer jump cuts in camera moves, and more natural speech with clearer lip-sync and multi-speaker support. Outputs carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark. Google also says work continues on fast sports action, rapid script changes and complex physics, so these are not presented as solved. Flow supports multi-turn direction and edits, and Google Ads can use the model for video campaigns.
What is not established
- Prices for 360p, 1080p and 4K output: the page does not give them.
- Independent quality tests: we found no third-party benchmark of Omni 1.2 Flash.
- Whether the 30% cut also holds on other plans or in the Gemini app, where access is subscription-based.
- How the model handles the areas Google says are still in development.
