Huawei launches the Qingyun HM650 desktop series on HarmonyOS for enterprises and government, which it says is certified 100 percent domestic, with the scope of that certification unclear

Huawei launched the Qingyun HM650 and HM650G HarmonyOS desktops for enterprise and government. The 100% domestic claim has no published scope.

By ·

Huawei launched its first HarmonyOS desktop computers, the Qingyun HM650 for enterprises and the HM650G for government users, on November 5, 2026 at a HarmonyOS office summit in Wuhan. The machines use Huawei's Kirin X90 processor and run HarmonyOS V1.0, an enterprise edition. The 100 percent Chinese label is Huawei's claim of a domestic-content certification, and reports say its scope and method have not been published, so it cannot be read as proof that every part is Chinese-made.

The essentials

Why it targets enterprise and government

Bulk purchases by public bodies and large firms are shaped by procurement policy, and a PC with Chinese silicon and a Chinese operating system avoids foreign parts that could face export controls. That is the commercial logic outlets describe; Huawei did not say it in those terms in the reports we read.

What to be careful about

Details differ between outlets: one calls the system HarmonyOS PC 7.0 while Huawei's specifications list V1.0 Enterprise Edition, and reports disagree on whether the machines are already on sale. We found no price. The sales figure covers HarmonyOS PCs overall, not this desktop.
